Kikka and puppies (week 8 a & b, 2006)
,
Through the week, Kikka was debating with herself. She wanted the close and cozy feeding time with her puppies, yet she also wanted them to be real dogs, and not scratch or bite her tummy, they were getting to be very rough.
The week before, the vet said, that she was drying up, but the vet doesn't know our Kikka-Mom...she still fed them once a day for another week, but the day before the puppies were 8 weeks old, she fed them for the last time.
Luckily we got a picture, and since that time, strangely enough, the puppies have accepted, and don't even try anymore. They are big girls now!
Please be adviced, that we might take a few days on responding to e-mails from friends and family.
We thank You for Your patience.
We do currently not respond to new puppy inquiries.

Getting ready to go
The 2 girls are about ready to go to their new homes, and we are putting in the last work giving them all the experiences we can. They have both been out on a walk, Calamity Jane walked following Maddy, and Annie Oakley walked following her Mother. They both did great, trotting right along as if they had been walking on a leash forever.
They have been outside multiple times a day every day, which is helping with the potty training, otherwise they are fairly good at using newspapers or piddle pads, even though we can't entirely claim to be "accident free".
Both of them love to be outside, we carry them out in a small kennel, and as soon as they see it, they fight to get in first, because they know, they are going outside. They can on "the other end" be quite difficult to catch in the back yard, if they are not ready to go back in.

Puppy graduation
At age 8 weeks, Calamity Jane and Annie Oakley graduated from our training. Both of them will now sit, and give us time to take a picture. But surprise, surprise...they took their training a bit further than our previous litters, and will also both stay "down" long enough for a picture.
Both of them are very enthusiastic about working for a treat, and extremely fun to work with.
They are now at a point, where they will "sit" without being asked, just in case a treat was sitting loose in someone's hand...look out, this is the first step of begging!

Calamity Jane's first walk
She did tend to want to stop and sniff, but still got ahead of Maddy.
Annie Oakley's first walk
Following Mom out into the big world is quite allright
All packages entering the house must be examined
Farmdog style, toilet paper and papertowels are not boring, when you're a dog of the house
When they are not playing with Mom outside...
they are playing with Mom inside!
Or they play with Butch...
Having Butch on the floor is like a doggie magnet...Maddy is about to loosen up
Here she goes
Maddy has started to play with the puppies, here Annie Oakley
Maddy and Annie
It's cool to "hang" together after a good wrestling game
Little Denmark's Annie Oakley 8 weeks old
and always looking for trouble
Little Denmark's Calamity Jane 8 weeks old
Another one looking for trouble...!
Kikka and puppies play
the games get rougher and rougher
Kikka's object is obviously Annie Oakley
She has to tell her, who's wearing the pants all the time
Kikka's wearing the pants!
Almost looks like she's about to swallow Annie...Calamity thinks it's great to beat up on Sis with Mom's help
A Kikka nap
Not only puppies get pooped...Mama dogs do too!
All 4 sit
A treat in hand, and all 4 will sit at the same time
All 4 down
But not only that...they will also all do "down" together!
End of the day...
light's out, and there is no-body home!
