Kikka and puppies (week 7b, 2006)
,
We decided to get puppy-shots done a week early this time, given the opportunity to have a bunch of strange doggies visit for some socialization.
To no surprise both girls are very healthy, and at first, they thought it was a hoot to get a bunch of attention at the vet. But yukk...they are spoiled so badly, they held up getting their shots, but once they got their chips injected, the vet's place was no longer fun.
Maddy, who doesn't like vets either, was along, and cuddled inside the crate with them afterwards on the way home...she understood fully, and supported them when they needed her strength most!
Please be adviced, that we might take a few days on responding to e-mails from friends and family.
We thank You for Your patience.
We do currently not respond to new puppy inquiries.

There are other doggies?
Getting shots is OK, when it opens up for new experiences!
The girls met 2 strange Farmdogs...they knew they sort of looked the same, as what they are used to seeing, but yet, they were not Maddy or Kikka. Cousin Greta came to see them, and she and the puppies were very interested in one another.
Also Bailey visited, and him and Kikka re-united in their usual "sibling games" (even though they are not family, they act like it), which gave space for Greta to play with Kikka's pups.
And another couple of VERY different looking dogs also visited...Max and Griz. Griz will actually be Annie Oakley's new "big Sis", so it was interesting to see the 2 meet for the first time. They will for sure get much joy out of one another.

And more visits
Not only did we get in some good and positive doggie socialization, but also all sorts of different people came to visit.
Carol visited and Brita came along, to see her "Grandchildren". Greta's "people Mom" and "people puppy", as well as Griz' people Mom and Lill were also here...it was one busy weekend in the 2 little girls' lives.
They are very impressive, a full house, people and dogs, does not bother them in the least, in fact, they are really acting like they are already very experienced in life, and deal with all new situations, as if they were at least 2 weeks older, than they are.

Little Denmark's Calamity Jane, 7 weeks old
Little Denmark's Annie Oakley, 7 weeks old
"Hey we can have toys out here too, how cool is that!"
Calamity Jane discovers Greta
"Hey, who are you? Your the same, but I never met you before"
Maddy and Greta meeting again
"Hey Mom, it's just me"..."Yeah, I know you, you're my puppy"
Greta and the puppies have mutual interest
While Kikka was busy telling Bailey a few things, Greta and the puppies had opportunity to interact
"Hey Sis, this cousin is really cool"
"Yeah, we can hang with the big dogs now!"
Calamity Jane and Greta play
"Wow, it's fun to have a cousin"
Catch me if you can
"Hey, she runs pretty good too, she's the best cousin ever!"
Kikka: "What's going on here?"
Greta: "It's just me Auntie Kikka, we're only playing, I surrender, don't hurt me"
Greta is trying to make it good with Kikka
"Hey Aunt Kikka, remember me?"
Some Motherly upbringing
Annie Oakley obviously did something, and Kikka is dragging her by her neck to put her straight
Kikka plays with her puppies
She still always has to be part of...our little referee
No, this wasn't staged at all
well, then maybe just a little bit...cute!
WHAT is that?
"Hey Sis, look at this thing, what is that?...that is one weird looking dog!"
A pack of doggies
The little girls had their hands full. Maddy and Kikka were SO happy to be able to be with their friends again.
Annie meets her future family
"This dog is very nice, I can be her boss!"
Annie has adopted her new family
And it seems like Kikka has too!
"Hey Griz my friend...
you can have my puppy ok?"
Group picture...this was NOT easy!
From left: Kikka, Calamity Jane, Annie Oakley (on the way out of the picture), Maddy, Max, Bailey and Griz
Calamity Jane moves in on Maddy
"Hmm, hmm, hmmm, I'm just laying here looking at a nail in the board..."
"She's looking away...
I wonder if I could just get a little bit closer..."
"Ahhh, I'll just sort of lean her way"
Maddy knows exactly what's going on, and decides to allow it...she wanted her to come closer
The puppies still sleep in the puppy box
and enjoy their Kongs, which they get, stuffed with goodies, every night
