Kikka and puppies (week 4b, 2006)
,
During this week, the puppies' world was expanded to include the kitchen and living room.
All of a sudden, everything is strange and new, both sounds, smells and the things they see. But both girls have taken the new move in stride, and with great curiousity.
The attitude is pretty much, that anything in this world was made to play with, and for their entertainment only.
Kikka is the concerned Mama-dog, constantly staying close, and watching that nothing happens to her pups, and she really does not appreciate the move. Sometimes they take off on her...they have places to go, which is very frustrating to a protective Mom.
At night the puppies and Kikka still go back into the puppy box, oh so safe it feels, to come "back home"...
Please be adviced, that we might take a few days on responding to e-mails from friends and family.
We thank You for Your patience.
We do currently not respond to new puppy inquiries.

They are finally "free game"
Maddy really appreciated the move. Now she can visit the puppies when she wants to, and there are no barriers, other than Kikka's worried eyes.
It is obvious that Maddy wants her time, and that her and Kikka don't quite agree on, when and for how long that is.
The puppies could care less, everything is new and exciting, and they are happy with any kind of interaction.
We can see, that all the new impressions and exploring really fill their little minds, and make them tired...nothing like sleeping on new experiences, and they still do sleep a lot.

Visits from another planet.
This week the puppies began to get their first visits from strange people, all seeming to come from some exciting planet, outside the door.
Both girls find, that every human come with sweet talk, pads and play, and that all people are totally cool to snuggle with. They both give kisses left and right, and have learned the fun deal about shoe laces. Not bad!

Little Denmark's Calamity Jane 4 weeks old
Now 1389 grams, 3 lbs 1 oz
Little Denmark's Annie Oakley 4 weeks old
Now 1332 grams, 2 lbs 15 oz
They smell that food
It's just a matter of coordinating the nose with the vision
Calamita Jane's nose talking to her
"I smell food!"
Kikka and Annie Oakley eating
"Hey Sis, I found the food, over here"
Calamity Jane diving in
"You are not kidding, this is pretty good stuff!"
A PUPPY WONDERLAND!
"Yeehaw, look at all these toys!"
Ferocious
the fun part is Kikka's ever so worried look...poor Mama-dog, kids are growing up...
Attack coming up...
The girls are practicing "aim and hit" skills
Ganging up on the toy
"This hedge hawk is a dead one"
Kikka wants in
"Hey, this is MY hedge hawk!"
The gang is out exploring the house
Kikka's life is becoming more and more complicated...how can you protect them, when they walk away all the time?
