Kikka's puppies, 7 weeks old

,
During this last week, these 5 have grown in more than one way. They have traveled 3,800 miles or 6.000 kilometers by car, more than half way across the country and back.
During this trip they have of course met countless people, who have loved on them and played with them, and at the show (the destination in NJ) they had endless supply of kids, volunteering to puppy sit.
These little dogs have taken the trip in stride, never had a worry, other than when they could get some more play time and attention squeezed in, and they have grown into little big dogs...what happened to the puppies? Well, we dropped them off somewhere along the road side, now we only have real dogs!
Please do not inquire about this litter, they already have homes waiting for them.
We thank you for your understanding.

What's going on
During the NJ trip, the puppies have quit eating the softened puppy food, and are now eating dry food kibble. Kikka is still insisting on feeding them several times a day, and she spends quality time with them, which she picks when and how. It seems as if there is an agreement between Kikka and Maddy, that Kikka runs them tired, then Maddy plays with them a bit when they are not too wound up, and then it's also Maddy snuggling up with them for nap, something Kikka certainly won't do anymore.
The puppies have started their first real "work", which is a hoot. All 5 have learned "sit", something we do and have done with all our puppies. The final Graduation is when a litter can sit on command all together for long enough, that I can take a picture. These 5 graduated when they were 7 weeks and 2 days old!!!
They are now indivudally working on understanding "down", and doing great at it, we might add.
The doggies sleep very little anymore, yet when they do, they are "out cold"...speaking of cold, having a cold spell weather wise did not take away their urge to be outside. They LOVE being outside, and can run, play, dig, and just hang out for hours. The cold spell made this difficult, so there has been a lot of excess energy to get out indoors, which definitely makes the house feel like it is way, way too small!!!
Better weather is returning now, and the "gangbangers" will be outside to run off the edges many times a day, for extended time...that all saves on the interior decorating efforts, in particular do these 5 have a very different opinion than we, about where our rugs, floor runners, dish towels, bath matts, and other larger and smaller household items should be located!!!

Road trip pictures
Here is a small handful of the countless pictures taken of these little road runners. Most of all the pictures have the puppies and a bunch of people, and in particular children in them, because they were like little magnets, sucking everybody to them. Because we do not have releases from all the individuals, and in many cases don't even know exactly who they are, or who their parents are, it is my choice to not feature any people or children on the site here, with the puppies
DSFCA's web-site will for the future owners of these puppies, and other US Farmdog owners, feature a number of those pictures in the members only section, at least for the part of them, which have been released for that purpose by the people featured in the shots.
