Greta and Puppies 1 week old , 1 week old and going strong Greta and her 1 week old puppies One very good little Mama dog Greta's puppies' first week This has been a very quiet week at Greta's house! And that is exactly how we want it, in fact, it doesn't get any better than that! Greta is, as expected from a Farmdog, a fantastic and dedicated little Mother. For every day her puppies' weight increase has proved it clearly. A text book growth, a text book Mama Greta! The biggest test has been to see, how the two children in her house would handle that Greta and the puppies needed peace and quiet. And they have handled this to perfection!!! Towards the end of the week, Greta is more confident and dares to leave her puppies, to come out and be with her family...but she remains on alert, and one little sound from "the puppy room" and she's right back to check on things. Please do not inquire about this litter, they already have homes waiting for them. We thank you for your understanding. The names Hans and Jade, Greta's "people puppies" at her house, are a great part of Greta's life, and have been a great part of Greta having her puppies. It was very hard to take Greta away to Denmark for a month, for her to be mated. Hans and Jade, as well as the rest of Greta's family, sure made a great sacrifice, accepting to be without her for that long, and trusting her to me on that trip!!! We are extremly thankful for that, and will never take it for granted! Every second litter at Kennel Little Denmark's is named by a theme, without having any particular beginning letter for each name. Greta's litter is "a theme litter". It has seemed like the natural think to do, to ask Hans and Jade to select the theme for Greta's litter, as well as the puppies' individual names. And they have done so well! Greta is living in CO in the Rocky Mountains, and the kids chose a Colorado Rocky Mountain theme. The puppies' names are mountains and peaks of the CO Rockies. A perfect fit we think, so from now on they are: Little Denmark's Mount Evans, Little Denmark's Mount Silverheels, Little Denmark's Kit Carson Peak, and Little Denmark's Sunlight Peak.
