Little Denmark's Mount Silverheels is born by our Greta on the floor of Jade's room, while Greta was nose to nose with Maddy through the door, on August 26th, 2008 at 7.40 PM. She is thereby our Maddy's Granddaughter
Little Denmark's Mount Silverheels is known by the name Sussi. She is tiny, but she doesn't know it
Sussi is un-cpmplicated, endlessly happy, very funny goofy, and aims to please. She has, like her Mother and Grandmother, the calculative smarts to get exactly what she wants, from who she wants, though Sussi gets her way in the most innocent of ways. She can make the most of every situation, and so she does.
Sussi never does anything half...she is all about 200% dedication and heart.
Sussi learned "sit" and "down" like no other puppy we have had before her. Her joy and enthusiasm about obedience work is absolutely amazing, and extremely funny. Leave it to Sussi to make a (yawn, boooring) "down stay" looking like it's the highlight of the week.
She adapts to any and all situations, and easily and effortlessly makes herself fit in, no matter what's going on. In her short life, she has already been exposed to more traveling and more different and odd places, than most dogs get to experience in an entire life time.
Sussi is a bundle of endless joy, and it rubs off on the world around her in an interesting way. Ever since she was a little puppy, we have observed the almost obsessive effect she has on people she meets. Everybody are simply extremely attracted to her, she has that effect on people of all kinds.
She is deceiving with her teeny size, because cute as she is, she is a little monster, and a LOT of dog. She is a dedicated huntress, and doesn't mess around...she scolds verbally, while she digs for mouse or gopher, and more often than not she hunts successfully. She is a very efficient killer! "Tomboy" is an understatement, "Mad Dog" is an appropriate nick name.
Of course Sussi has a number of nick names, dear child has many names, and most of them are in Danish.
Sussi has completed basic puppy class, as well as intermediate obedience class. She is currently training with the "big shots", i.e. her Grandmother Maddy and other dogs practicing for obedience competition. It is her favorite time of all, to be in class!
In 2013 she became a Danish Show champion, DKCH, and she took a 3rd place in the competition for Female of the year 2013!
She is a Mother of several wonderful puppies, among those is our "Fay-fay", Little Denmark's 4-Ever Fay, who is the winner of the Junior of the year 2013 competition.

October 2009 (14 months old) : Sussi showed at the 4th National Breed Specialty by DSFCA in Chicago, IL. Judge Bengt-Åke Bogren of Sweden gave Sussi and "excellent" rating, placed her 1st in the 9-15 months female class, she won Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite sex.
In the fund raiser classes Sussi placed as number one in the "best gait" category.
September 2009 (13 months old) : Sussi showed in 3 ARBA shows, Rocky Mountain Classic, in Longmont, CO. She won 2 times Reserve Winner, and 1 time winners Bitch.
The arrival of puppy Sussi
Sussi was born and raised in Greta's home, and she moved in at Kennel Little Denmark's when she was 8 weeks old. Life would never be the same, to any of us!
Moving in here would be a challenge to any dog, given the residents were the 2 very set in their ways older females, Maddy and Kikka.
To Sussi, there was no challenge involved. She basically assumed from day one, that everybody would simply love her without conditions, and so she instantly got away with the un-thinkable, and simply just never asked for permission.
One of the things she really wanted to do, was to be best buddies with Grandma Maddy. Maddy didn't think she wanted a friend...Sussi won, Maddy's first and few weak objections were entirely ignored. The result is, that today we cannot mention one, without mentioning the other. We can also hardly take a picture of one, without taking a picture of the other. Sometimes we wonder if Maddy in some odd way thinks that Sussi is her puppy. She grants her many more privileges, than Kikka has ever been granted. The relation has grown very special, and the 2 are pretty much inseparable.
Being we were saying goodbye to Kikka's puppies at the time when Sussi arrived, Sussi took some well calculated liberties there as well. She just snugged in and nursed with Kikka's puppies, and played on Kikka's Mother instincts to take her under her wing, play with her, and let her snuggle whenever she wanted.
In this manner Sussi sort of has 2 surrogate "mothers"...she gets the best of both of them.
From the moment she wakes up in the morning, she is a bundle of excitement and joy and wiggles, which rubs off on all, people as well as dogs. Mornings are very happy events with Sussi in the house!
