Maddy, our First Farmdog...
Facts
Maddy is born October 18th 2001.
She has a great sence of human humor, and "invents" fun games, to make us laugh.
Her best buddies, besides Kikka, are Max and Charger.Max is Bailey's "companion", and Charger is a yellow lab, living with our friends in San Diego.

She LOVES horses, and seem to consider them as "oversized dogs" that she can play with. Also a barn-cat named Smokey has her friendship, as they bonded, when they were both very young.
A big favorite, when home in WY, is to go hunting for wild rabbits and gound squirrels. She has succeded at both!!!
Maddy's "job" has been to learn precision obedience, including healing, scent-picking, change of position by handsignals and lots more. She loves to perform and be a "good girl". She's still a "novice/beginner" at this, but seems to have no learning limits.
Maddy is a wonderful and devoted Mama-dog, and has had 2 litters of a total of 10 great little boys and girls. We currently have no plans of any more litters by Maddy.
"Little, but mighty"
A judge once said about Maddy "She might be little, but she sure is mighty". Maddy was a very young dog then, and this judge probably didn't know, that he over time would become so "right on" with that statement. But we think he was...at nearly age 6 years, Maddy is a multi-champion, as she has titled "show champion" in 4 countries: Denmark, Sweden, Norway and The USA. She is still little, and she is still mighty!
Maddy's visits to the Scandinavian show circuit in 2007 truly became exciting and was a lot of fun.
While going to Norway and Sweden, both by ground and air, always so obviously enjoying the adventure of traveling, always having surplus and time to joyfully greet people she meets on the way, she also walked the show rings like the little queen she feels she is.
Maddy has placed herself in history as only the second Danish bred Farmdog ever in the world, to obtain the title NORDCH, Nordic Show Champion.

Accomplishments
October 2008 (7yrs) : Maddy showed in 3 ARBA shows, New Jersey Classic, in Manalapan, NJ, and won 2 times "Best of Opposite Sex", one time "Best of Breed", and placed as "Best of group #1". One of the shows was the Third National Breed Specialty by DSFCA. Judge Lilian Christensen, Denmark, gave Maddy an "excellent" rating and placed her as "Best of Opposite Sex".
July 2008 (6Y,9 mo) : Maddy competed in obedience class 2 in Denmark. She scored 164 points enough for a second price and a third winner placement in the class.
Also June 2008 (6Y,8 mo) : Maddy showed in Denmark. She received an "excellent" rating and placed second in the female champion class. Judge was Bengt Åke Bogren, Sweden.
June 2008 (6Y,8 mo) : 40 hours after arriving from The US, Maddy competed in obedience class 2 ("LP") in Denmark. She performed to her highest score ever!
No jetlag in this little "pro", she even pulled an audience to ring side and released applaudes. 201.5 points, a 1st price, and an over-all third winner placement in the class.
January 2008 (6Y,3 mo) : Maddy's obedience performance in Denmark in 2007 has remained un-surpassed by any other Farmdog in Denmark the rest of the year!
Therefore Maddy is for the second year in a row THE WINNER of the annual competition for the honorable award Obedience & Utility Farmdog of the year, 2007 in Denmark!!!
November 2007 (6Y,1 mo) : Maddy was shown at DSFCA's 2nd National Breed Specialty show in Claremont, CA. She placed as second best female (beat by her Daughter Greta). Maddy also showed a Brood Bitch class along with 2 of her puppies, Little Denmark's Shoshone and Little Denmark's Berta The Adventurer (Greta).
Kennel Little Denmark's won the class. Judge was Ulf Bråthen of Denmark.
September 2007 (5Y,11 mo) : Maddy was shown in Orre near Stavanger, Norway. She got a 1st price, placed 1st in open female class, and got CK (certificate quality). In the best female competition she won best female #1, and she got the judge's certificate towards Norwegian championship, thereby Norwegian Champion, titled NUCH. Maddy won best of opposite sex. Judge was Hassi Assenmacher-Feyel of Germany.
With now 3 Scandinavian championships (Danish, Swedish and Norwegian), Maddy obtained the hororable title:
NORDIC SHOW CHAMPION, titled NORDCH
Maddy is currently the ONLY living Danish bred Danish/Swedish Farmdog in the world to have the NORDCH title, and she's only the second Danish bred ever to get this title.
August 2007 (5Y,10 mo) : Maddy was shown in Bjerke near Oslo, Norway. She got a 1st price, placed 2nd in open female class, and got CK (certificate quality), and she placed as 3rd best female over-all. Judge was Per-Erik Wallin of Sweden.
July 2007 (5Y,9 mo) : The next day Maddy was also shown in Tvååker, Sweden. She placed 3rd in the female's champion class, and got CK (certificate quality), and she placed as 3rd best female over-all. Judge was Diane Anderson of The USA.
July 2007 (5Y,9 mo) : Maddy was shown in Tvååker, Sweden. She got a 1st price, placed 1st in open female class, and got CK (certificate quality). She then proceeded to the best female competition, where she won best female #1. She received the judge's certificate towards championship, and thereby titled SUCH, Swedish Show Champion!!!. She won best of opposite sex. Judge was Marit Sunde of Norway.
June 2007 (5Y,8 mo) : Maddy was shown in Drammen, Norway. She got a 1st price, placed 3rd in open female class, and got CK (certificate quality). Judge was Eva Borg of Sweden. This was great improvement from the Malmö show in Sweden, judged by the same judge, but Maddy also put her false pregancy behind her and shaped up nicely since then.
Also May 2007 (5Y,7 mo) : Maddy was shown in Hässleholm, Sweden. She got a 1st price, placed 3rd in open female class, and got CK (certificate quality). And she placed as third best female over-all. Judge was Åke Cronander of Sweden.

Also May 2007 (5Y,7 mo) : The next day, Maddy competed in obedience class 2 in Denmark again. The conditions this day were very tough, as a large dog show was breaking up, and the obedience area was having a lot of traffic around of people and dogs. The result level in the class was therefore generally lower than the day before, and several didn't complete the trial. Maddy completed, and she scored 169 points, got a 2nd price, and actually placed 4th in the entire class.
May 2007 (5Y,7 mo) : Maddy competed in obedience class 2 in Denmark. She did great, and proved she is worthy of the LP2 title once again, by a score of 195 points.
April 2007 (5Y,6 mo) : Maddy was shown in Stange, Norway and made yet a first - the first Farmdog from The USA to ever enter Norway, and also the first Farmdog from The USA to enter a show in Norway. Maddy received a 1st price and won open female class. Judge was Zvi Kupferberg of Israel.
April 2007 (5Y,6 mo) : Maddy was presented at a special new type of breeding approval arrangement, applying to this breed in Denmark as of January, 2007. Maddy has been breeding approved by the old rules, both in The US and in Denmark, but we felt it would be only right, that we also try her qualifications in accordance with the new rules in Denmark.
Maddy was breeding approved, judges were Ole Staunskjaer and Lilian Christensen, both of Denmark.
April 2007 (5Y,6 mo) : Maddy competed in obedience competition class 2 in Denmark. She scored 181.5 points and thereby got a first price, which gave her the title LP2 (Obedience trial first price winner class 2).
March 2007 (5Y,5 mo) : Maddy was shown in Malmö, Sweden. She is thereby the first Farmdog ever from The USA to enter Sweden and participate in a show. At the time she was unfortunately going through false pregnancy and was consequently appearing to be in poor shape, so she received a 2nd price. Judge was Eva Borg of Sweden.
January 2007 (5Y,3 mo) : Maddy's obedience performance in Denmark in June, 2006 over just one weekend, has remained un-surpassed by any other Farmdog in Denmark over the entire year!
Therefore Maddy is THE WINNER of the annual competition for the honorable award Obedience & Utility Farmdog of the year, 2006 in Denmark!!!
November 2006 (5Y,1 mo) : Maddy showed in 4 ARBA shows, Hollywood Classic, in Claremont, CA, and won 3 times "Best of Opposite Sex". One of the shows was the First Regional Breed Specialty by DSFCA. Judge Diane Anderson, USA, gave Maddy an "excellent" rating and placed her as "Best of Opposite Sex".
September 2006 (4Y,11 mo) : Maddy showed in 3 ARBA shows, Rocky Mountain Classic, in Longmont, CO, and won 1 time "Best of Opposite Sex". One of the shows was the First National Breed Specialty by DSFCA. Judge Lars Adeheimer, Sweden, gave Maddy an "excellent" rating.
Maddy also showed in a Brood Bitch class in the specialty show, along with her off spring, Little Denmark's Berta The Adventurer and Little Denmark's Birigtte The Conqueror. Maddy and off spring won the class for Kennel Little Denmark's.
Next day in June 2006 (4yr,8 mo) : Maddy competed in obedience competition (LPII = class2) in Denmark. She got a 2nd prize (162 points) and placed 3rd in the class.
Also June 2006 (4yr,8 mo) a week later : Maddy competed in obedience competition (LPII = class2) in Denmark. She scored 152 points, enough to pass the trial with a 3rd prize, and finished 3rd in the class.
June 2006 (4yr,8 mo) : Maddy competed in obedience competition (LPII = class2) in Denmark. On the day she was not feeling well, ended with a score of 112.5 and didn't pass the trial.
June 2005 (3Y,8 mo) : Maddy showed in 4 ARBA shows, Golden Gate Classic, in Hayward, CA, and won 4 times "Winners Bitch", 2 times "Best Of Winners", 1 time "Best Of Breed", and placed 3rd in the group-competition. Maddy is hereby ARBA Champion, ARBACH.
November 2004 (3Y) : Maddy competed in Obedience Novice A under AKC-rules at ARBA show, Hollywood Classic, in Claremont CA. She scored 198 points of 200 available and won the class, with 26 points more than number 2 dog!
November 2004 (3Y) : Maddy showed in 4 ARBA shows, Hollywood Classic, in Claremont, CA, and won 2 times "Reserve Winners", 1 time "Winners Bitch", 1 time "Best Of Winners", and 1 time "Best Of Opposite Sex".
June 2004 (2Y,8 mo) : Maddy showed in 4 ARBA shows, Golden Gate Classic, in Hayward, CA, and won 1 time "Reserve Winners", 2 times "Winners Bitch", 1 time "Best Of Winners", and 1 time "Best Of Opposite Sex".
February 2004 (2Y,4 mo) : Maddy showed in Denmark, won First Price, won The "open female", placed 5th of all females, and received the judge's certificate towards championship.This third certificate made her a Danish Show Champion, titled: "DKCH"
November 2003 : Maddy showed in 4 ARBA shows, Hollywood Classic, in Claremont, CA. and won 2 times "Reserve Winners", 2 times "Winners Bitch", 1 time "Best Of Opposite Sex", 1 time "Best of Breed", and placed 4th in the group-competition.
Also June 2003 : Maddy competed in Obedience competition in Denmark. First trials she got a First Price (with 167 points of 180 possible). Second trials she got a First Price (with 171.5 points) and placed 2nd of 16 dogs in Class I (beginner's class). The first Price on day one earned her the title "LP-1" (Obedience Trial-first prize winner, class 1)
June 2003 (20 months) : Maddy showed in Denmark, won First Price, won The "open female", placed 2nd of all females, and received the judge's certificate towards championship
May 2003 (19 months) : Maddy showed in Denmark, won First Price, and placed 4th in "open female"
April 2003 (18 months) : Maddy showed in Denmark, won First Price, won The "open female", placed 2nd of all females, and received the judge's certificate towards championship.
November 2002 (13 months): Maddy earned AKC's CGC-title (Canine good citizen)
She showed in 4 shows in The US, also in November 2002, ARBA's Hollywood Classsic in Claremont, CA and won 3 times "winners Bitch", 2 times "best of opposite sex", 2 times "best of winners", 1 time "Reserve Winners" and 1 time "Best of Breed". She placed 2nd in the group-competition.

"Trucking" Maddy
The passenger seat belongs to Maddy - regardless of who sits in it, she will sit on the person's lab, watching everything we go by, untill she nods off and falls asleep.
At night she prefers to be under the covers in the bed, and she gladly takes every sleeping-shift with both of us.
She has tought herself to stand on the wheel, so the horn honks, when she doesn't want us to leave her - this gets a lot of attention.
Secret: If anyone wanted to break into our truck, Maddy would be happy to unlock it for them from the inside, to have more company.
